These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Known Elsewhere website at knownelsewhere.com and any purchase you make through the store (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

The store

Known Elsewhere is an independent publisher of original unframed art prints. Prints are made to order on archival matte paper and sold unframed unless a product page says otherwise.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your place of residence. You agree to provide accurate checkout information, including a deliverable shipping address within the contiguous United States (48 states and Washington, D.C.).

Orders and pricing

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may decline or cancel an order for pricing errors, stock or production issues, suspected fraud, or shipping restrictions. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice for future orders. Taxes are calculated at checkout where applicable.

Made to order

Each print is produced after you order. Production and delivery timing shown at checkout or in order emails are estimates. See our Shipping and Refund policies for details.

Shipping

We currently offer free shipping within the contiguous United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or addresses outside the United States. Title and risk of loss pass when the carrier accepts the parcel for delivery, except where required otherwise by law.

Intellectual property

All artwork, product images, text, logos, and site design are owned by Known Elsewhere or its licensors. Purchase of a print grants you a physical copy for personal, non-commercial display. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our artwork or site content without written permission.

Accounts and communications

If you create an account or join our mailing list, you are responsible for keeping your details accurate. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. We may still send transactional messages about your orders.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, including attempting unauthorized access, scraping at unreasonable volume, interfering with site operation, or using the store for unlawful purposes.

Disclaimer

The Services are provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Color on your screen may differ from the finished print.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Known Elsewhere’s total liability for any claim related to the Services or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Known Elsewhere against claims arising from your misuse of the Services or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
